Disclaimer:The requirements, fees, validity period, and processing time stated below may be updated by DENR without prior notice. Customers are encouraged to verify the latest requirements directly with the proper DENR office.

DENR Permit to Purchase Requirements

Before buying a chainsaw, customers must first apply for a DENR Permit to Purchase. Kindly prepare the following documents for processing:

  • DENR Application Form 1 (Download here)
  • DENR Application Form 2 (Download here)

  • Purchase Order from Charlon Enterprises or an authorized dealer/supplier
  • The Purchase Order must include a proper PO Number. Example: PO #000001

  • Supplier Permit to Sell, which must be sent directly to DENR. This is usually provided by the brand supplier or authorized distributor of the chainsaw brand.
Reminder: Please submit your requirements to Charlon Enterprises so we can check and match the documents with your application forms, letter of request, and purchase order details.

Once DENR releases your Permit to Purchase, kindly send a copy of the certificate to Charlon Enterprises. This will allow us to continue processing your chainsaw purchase.

Chainsaw Certificate of Registration

After purchasing a chainsaw, it must be properly registered with DENR. The Certificate of Registration serves as proof that the chainsaw is legally registered for legitimate use.

For most chainsaws, the Certificate of Registration is valid for two (2) years from the date of issuance and may be renewed for the same period.

For non-commercial orchard owners, fruit tree farmers, and similar users whose work is not related to wood or timber production, processing, or trade, the certificate may be valid for five (5) years from the date of issuance and may also be renewed for the same period.

This Certificate of Registration also serves as the permit to own, possess, and/or use the registered chainsaw.
